Internships

Internships in the CCWAS IGERT

All trainees in the CCWAS IGERT will be expected to complete at least one internship. These may be in academic settings (e.g., the National Center for Atmospheric Research) or in the public sector (e.g., California Department of Water Resources). Trainees also may elect to do internships in Chile through our Chilean partners. These include research at the University of Concepción or the University of La Serena, and working at the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture.

In addition, CCWAS trainees also may participate in outreach programs such as the Environmental Leaders program of the John Muir Institute for the Environment, and the EnvironMentor program, which partners graduate students with students at minority-serving high schools in Sacramento.
